DeBord Plumbing, Heating & Cooling, the most dependable, reliable service company in the Northeast Ohio area, has been servicing communities since 1973. When Jack DeBord retired in 1989, he sold the business to his nephew, Dennis Kratochvil and his wife Leona. Dennis carries on the family tradition as a fourth generation plumber. His great grandfather started the family plumbing trade at 105th and Cedar in Cleveland. Dennis carries a state license for plumbing, heating, hydronics, backflow prevention, fire and sprinkler as well as a City of Cleveland Master Plumber.
In January of 2000 DeBord expanded its plumbing and heating services to include forced air heating, air conditioning, and minor electrical services. Greg Andrews, a Certified Carrier Protec, and State Licensed Heating and Cooling Contractor joined the company as General Manager of the HVAC department.
2006 was a year of great change for DeBord Plumbing, Heating & Cooling. We made the decision to change the company name to Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and DeBord's One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning, but we did not change ownership or management, so you will still get that great local service when you call.Our commitment to doing a quality job for long time customers and new ones like you is stronger than ever before.
Why the name change? Because we did our homework and discovered that the people behind Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning franchises provide a lot of great resources to help Plumbing and HVAC companies across America run their businesses. From advertising and marketing support (if you're not familiar with their catchy print ads and radio & TV commercials you soon will be) to systems that help service professionals provide better service to their customers, the Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and the One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning franchises makes our locally family owned & operated company even better. In the fall of 2006, we also moved the business offices to a new location just down the road from their shop in the Munson historic district to where the Viking Restaurant used to be at 12043 Mayfield Road in Munson Township. Please feel free to stop in, take a tour of he new building and enjoy a cup of coffee with our staff.
In the spring of 2007, we purchased Ohio Aeration, Specialists in Waste Water Treatment, in order to expand our Ben Franklin Plumbing services even further. Ohio Aeration is now operating as a division of Benjamin Franklin Plumbing.
