If your bathtub drain is running slowly and is the type that has a lever at the overflow for a stopper, you can easily remove the bolts, and pull wire, lift the lever out and clean hair clogs from the wire.
Never pour hot water into your toilet, the temperature change could easily crack the bowl.
It's generally a bad idea to keep your kitchen wastebasket under the sink, because the constant bumping against your undersink piping loosens connections and often causes leaks.
We've all had this moment of panic, and most of us freeze with terror. If you flush the toilet and the water in the bowl starts rising and doesn't appear to be stopping or lowering, quickly remove the tank lid, reach into the middle bottom of the tank and push the rubber ball or flapper back down over the outlet. Avoid using hot water from the tap for drinking or cooking or diluting infant formulas. Because it has been sitting in the hot water heater, it may be high in metal concentrations from the water heater.
